Primary Ganglineuroma of the Adrenal Medulla as Incidentaloma

Abstract

|
A 46-year-old man was referred to the general surgery department from internal medicine department for further investigation and proper treatment of a right adrenal mass incidentally discovered by ultrasonography and computed tomography.
Endocrine
studies were unremarkable. Computed tomography revealed an encapsulated, well-defined, 6-cmlong oval shaped mass with calcifications. Grossly this tumor was a yellowish white, homogeneous mass, 105g in weight and 7¡¿6¡¿4cm. The pathologic
diagnosis
was
ganglioneuroma. This is a case report of adrenal ganglioneuroma as an incidentaloma with a review of the previous literatures.
